About TreeRemovalPrices

Independent planning tools with visible sources and calculation assumptions. We do not provide tree services or contractor quotations.

Who runs this site

TreeRemovalPrices is an independently operated website maintained by Bedirhan. The publisher is not an arborist or tree-service contractor. The guides and tools are intended to help readers understand quote scope, not diagnose a tree or plan removal work.

Content preparation uses AI assistance alongside source checking. The publisher handles feedback and corrections. We do not claim professional arborist review or first-hand experience of the jobs described.

How the calculators work

Removal estimate = height reference × access assumption + optional stump grinding.

The height ranges come from HomeGuide. We normalize their boundary labels to avoid placing a 30-foot or 60-foot tree in two bands. Restricted access uses ×1.25; difficult access uses ×1.50. These two multipliers are editorial planning assumptions, not surveyed premiums.

Stump low = the greater of width × $2 and $80.
Stump high = the greater of width × $6 and $160.

Stump width is the widest measurement at ground level, in whole inches. The calculator accepts 1–120 inches; other sizes need a direct quote. Minimums are floors rather than additional charges.

The removal and grinding calculators and their worked tables read the same model. The ranges are not statistical confidence intervals, guarantees or price caps.

Local quote comparison

The local comparison worksheet uses only prices you enter from two contractors. It adds the headline quote and confirmed extra charges, then compares the totals after you confirm matching scope. Missing charges remain unknown instead of being treated as zero. The worksheet stores or transmits none of these amounts.

What the estimate does not cover

  • No city, state or ZIP-code adjustment is calculated.
  • No separate crane, permit, repair, restoration or unusual disposal allowance is calculated.
  • The model does not assess tree condition, structural damage, utilities or insurance coverage.
  • Hazardous or urgent jobs need an on-site assessment; the removal calculator withholds a numeric result when this option is selected.
  • Very large and complex jobs may exceed the upper reference price.

Sources and revisions

Price references are attributed to HomeGuide, its stump grinding guide, and Angi. Different publishers describe different job samples; we do not present their ranges as a new survey conducted by this site.

Tree-risk information points readers to ISA’s TreesAreGood resources. Permit guidance links to the relevant municipality instead of treating one city’s rule as a national standard.

Model and content review: October 12, 2026. This is our review date, not a claim that every underlying price was collected on that date. We do not promise a fixed update schedule.
